| This is the best controller you can get for the PS3. It has a build similar to the Xbox 360 controller and it feels real comfortable in your hands. With this model they have also added rumble and sixaxis support, so you wont need a dualshock at all anymore! They have also fixed the dead zone in the analog sticks, which is great because this controller goes great for FPS games and you want the controller to be as precise as possible. The only thing I dislike is the D-Pad. It feels a bit too stiff for me and it clicks when I push down. Other than that though, it is a great controller. It is very responsive and it feels great! Highly Recommended!! |

| this is a great controller, it very comfortable for a man with a spinual cord injury that left me with hands that have limited moblity. it would be just great if i could have the manufacture change the function of the two joy stick. but all in all i liked it a lot |

Design:
The shadow controller is the ideal controller to buy for ps3 because of its design. The unparallel analog sticks does help improve your performance and is great for all games. The buttons do work really nice and the triggers are significantly better than the dualshock and have better grip. The outside of the controller is made of a slight mix between rubber and plastic and helps because your hands grip the controller and your hands dont sweat and the controller doesn't slip. The controller i also larger than the dualshock and this helps a lot because your hands do not cramp or strain to grab or press a button on the controller.
Inside the controller:
The controller has excellent rumble and the wireless does work very well, however it does not have motion sensor and i may have picked up the old version of this but make sure you are not aiming for a motion sensor controller if you want to buy this. There is no lag or delay in this controller and i played for hours and not a single delay.
Cons:
The controller is not for snipers and this is because its analog dead zone/sensitivity zone is larger than other controllers. To fix this problem i suggest buying some FPS Freak analog extensions for the controller to sense more. My other con is that there is a USB dongle and i suggest that you buy a usb hub so that you can fit your other usb requirements.
My last con is that you cannot turn on or off the ps3 but this is not really a problem sense getting off your butt and going to turn on/off the ps3 is not the hardest thing in the world.
Overview and Opinion:
I think this is a controller that will definitely help gamers and people who like the design of the Xbox 360 controller and would like a comfortable gaming experience. I have tried this controller with many games including Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Batman Arkham asylum, and Mag. Its also a cheaper controller and it will help all ps3 owners. And i do actually own this controller and i suggest buying 2, also his as a 100% honest review.

Like many of us who have played 360 and used the 360 controller we all know how well that feels. Playing the ps3 and trying mw2 I could play. Then I tried this. It's like they put the insides of a ps3 controller in a better feeling 360 shell. I get no lag with this. Yes you have take up a usb slot. But if you do like I do and have a ps3 slim on top of a metal notebook cooler that has usb ports built into it, you can have the ps3 mic plugged into it and other things.
Add this with the six axis...which does work. I tried it with Heavy Rain and no delay.
But this controller added with the fps freeks = greatness. |
